Association Un Toit A Bombay

Association de Loi 1901 à but non lucratif

A Roof in Mumbai has three goals :

1. Helping little girls from the Malad East slum of Mumbai who suffer from extreme poverty, with sponsorships focused on education, nutrition and health.

Operating a Day Care Center close to the slum, where thirty or more of our most vulnerable girls
are helped with their lessons and kept in safety. A trained school teacher is present six days per week to assist them with their homework.

They are also given a nourishing and balanced meal, and can use the washroom if they wish.
They are taught Information Technology and English by qualified professors. Given the operating costs, we are seeking specific donations for the Day Care Center, separate from individual sponsorships of little girls.

3. Operating a « bus kindergarden » in a wreck with no wheels which is planted in the ground at the foot of the slum. It is used to shelter the little sisters and brothers of our sponsored girls, and is open six days per week

Welcome to the website of our Association aimed to help little girls from a slum in Mumbai.
Beautiful smiles in our Day Care Center
We are looking for support for one of UTAB’s girls who wants to become a sewer !
In November 2011, Colette wrote the little story of PRYA 4 (please read the story on «Colette’s little Stories».

The 12 years old girl has learnt how to sew and she has made her first table sets.

We would like to encourage her by selling these table sets to her benefits.

Please go to «URGENT NEEDS» to have more information....
